Digital Drama’s audio installation opens at the Rose Theatre, Kingston today. Designer James Rowlands and team have created the back garden of a Kingston house at the end of WW2, complete with Anderson shelter, veg patch and photos of those who remember the end of the war. Come and listen to the the VE Day memories of local residents as they recall the euphoria of that momentous day in twentieth century history.
The installation is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Big Lottery and the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. It is free and runs till the 21st of May 2015.
