Kickstarter Campaign for Peace in Our Time Gathering Pace

PIOT Poster 3Digital Drama’s Kickstarter campaign to produce Noel Coward’s little performed play ‘Peace in Our Time’ as an eight part audio serial is gathering pace. Commissioned by the Arts Council England to explore crowdfunding as a credible way of producing quality audio drama, the campaign is drawing support from theatre lovers across the world. To support the production, please go to www.kck.st/1Tzv5FC

Set in World War II, the action takes place in a London pub, The Shy Gazelle, which Coward based on his own local, The Antelope, just off Sloane Square.

Coward wrote the play after the war ended, imagining what life in London would have been like if The Battle of Britain had been lost in 1940. It is particularly relevant to produce this play now as we commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the conflict.

Dot AtkinsonWe are delighted to announce that Dorothy Atkinson  will be playing publican Dorris Shattock. Last seen in Mike Leigh‘s award winning film Mr Turner, Dorothy was BAFTAnominated in 2014 for her role as Turner’s long suffering house keeper and has recently starred in Call The Midwife.

Linda MarloweSteven Berkoff’s leading actress and EastEnders Star, Linda Marlowe has just joined the cast of Peace In Our Time.

Please support the production via the Kickstarter campaign by going to www.kck.st/1Tzv5FC.
