Digital Drama were commissioned for a second year by Global Arts Kingston to produce their programme for the Kinston Connections festival and produced a project full of a banquet of rituals, recipes and recounted tales of delicacies passed down the generations.

Global Feast was an oral history project which focused on bringing to life the heritage of Kingston’s Tamil, Chinese, Korean, Gujarati, Punjabi and Afro-Caribbean communities through food. The project explored recipes, dishes and feasts brought to Kingston by members of these communities and their relatives and ancestors as they made Kingston their home and brought the flavours, tastes and smells of their homeland with them. It provided opportunities for cultures from different communities to compare how recipes were handed down to them and explore the regional and family variations in their meals and feasts or celebrations.
